7:00 am, May 4, 2002 - YARD SALE open for business at the Office Station [next to Sheet's gas + quickstop] in Lexington Park.
In order for that to happen the following must have been already accomplished:
NOTICE: A postponement decision [based on weather forecast] will be made at 6:00 PM Friday; check your email and⁄or phones for such notification before you go to bed Friday night!
- Support materials in place:
- Signs - large sign at site [= Office Station parking lot] roadside, others at intersections nearby
- Tables [or facsimile] for display of smaller items
- Chair, table-space, and money-box with change - for CASHIER
- Price tags⁄signs on items for sale
- Sale items in place:
- [most of this subject has been planned out at the 1 May Board Meeting. Persons whose materials are not already pre-staged at Dick Bergren's, Tom Burke's, Bob Anderson's, or Ron Abler's place need to make arrangements NOW to get the goods picked up if you are not delivering them yourself on Saturday morning!
- Delivered to site by donator prior to 7:00 am [unless otherwise arranged]
- Items "pre-staged" in other locations must be gathered and brought to the site by VOLUNTEERS with trucks [or other vehicle with utility trailer and towing capabilities].
- Support personnel in place:
- VOLUNTEERS STILL NEEDED IN ALL THESE AREAS:
- CASHIER(s) to collect all moneys
- 2 or 3 'salesmen' to interface/barter with customers
- 1 or 2 'able-bodied seamen' to move/assist with large items
- VOLUNTEERS for after-closing [approx 1:00 pm] cleanup and dump/charity runs.
